I've always wanted to create a Salut Kidswear product made out of second-hand leftover textile. I never really found the perfect idea until I met Léa. Together we have this vision that it's also a Designer's responsibility to minimize the ecological footprint by choosing each material wisely. This is how the idea of a collaboration and scrunchie mini collection came up - all made with a lot of love: Léa X salut
Léa can only produce as many scrunchies per color as the second-hand textile would allow making this a capsule collection, far away from fast fashion. She produces everything in her studio in Toulouse, France.
To create one scrunchie there are a few steps like cutting out the textile, sewing, adding the elastic and so on. In these two small videos you can see how Léa has been producing them for you.
